Project Summary : 
This project focuses on the visual identity development process to grow both conceptual and branding skills. This required the choice of a language (fictional or not), to create a brand identity. The core focus is to share the chosen language with a specific and defined target audience. The visual identity will be used to create a guide featuring the designed visual assets and how it can extend across variables and other deliverables.

Design Strategy: 
Upon choosing a language to create a brand identity around, Portuguese was chosen. The language has a rich history as well as being named one of the fastest growing languages world wide. Through research it became apparent that many people are unaware of the four main dialects Portuguese has, spoken differently across various regions/countries. Google translate and other platforms only cater to  two types of Portuguese, that being traditional European Portuguese as well as Brazilian Portuguese, and therefore there was a gap in the market for this brand. Named after the diversity this language has to offer from the culture, society and lifestyle of the Portuguese people, the brand is called Diversa. Diversa is bold, bright and diverse in its nature and makes use of the tile style patterning used in various Portuguese countries to inform the brands visual assets.
