This project requires the abstraction of a fictional characters essence/personality to create a new typeface through the crafting and experimentation of mixed media. The typeface aims to create an emphasis around storytelling in order to create an effective , alternative editorial piece.

Design strategy :
Fixation, an eery typeface that is based on the murderer and rapist in Saul Blacks novel The Killing Lessons. It begins to play on the idea of a children’s alphabet chart due to the characters illiteracy, yet twists the innocence of mundane learning chart to one of adult and sexual connotations.
