Project Summary:
This project requires the investigation, analysis and redesign of a chosen website. The objective is to identify which aspects of the site go against best practice standards and hinder the user experience. In creating a refined, user friendly experience, the web redesign follows UI/UX best practice standards and uses more engaging functional aspects.

Design Strategy:
Cotlands is a website that allows South African children easy access to play based learning opportunities. The original site was not designed for mobile use, as the interface was inconsistent, placement and navigation was confusing as well as not being user friendly. In redesigning the refined iteration, it has taken into account the aesthetic aspects as well as the UI/UX best practice aspects. The new mobile interface has incorporated a refreshed colour palette as well as its illustrations, keeping to one specific style rather than multiple and revised typography fixing all its inconsistencies in paragraph styles, all while keeping the changes on brand for Cotlands and what they stand for.
