Design Brief : 
The project is in the specified format of the ISTD programme which is designed to raise the profile of typography in design education. Silence is Golden, is focused on the silent era films, one of which to celebrate it. A typographic design needs to be created, one which has a consideration for a specific area of focus, whether it be political, an art movement, a specific type of film or so forth. A context needs to be defined as well as a target audience in order to build develop an appropriate outcome. The final product has to make up a 500 word, word count in order to meet ISTD requirements. 
Design Strategy  :
 Lens by Lang is inspired by the legend of Hollywood silent films, the era of golden silence, director Fritz Lang. Lang was an iconic filmmaker of his time with a career that inspired many creatives, both known and not. Lang was inspired by New York, by the alternative, morbid, the dark and the gloomy, he was labeled as the master of Darkness. The darkness which created an imprint transcending the trials of time, one to live on and be celebrated through storytelling, exactly what lens by lang believes in.The Lenses packaged by Lens by Lang aren’t your average lenses, they have quirky and interesting distortions, to create an image, a story, capture a moment with a twist. These lenses have been specifically picked for this range, in a way to tribute to the silent era itself.  The fish eye lens creates a quirky, unconventional approach top image making as did Lang within his films. The second lens is the Iris, a lens which immolates the type of transitions used in the silent era. As the third and final lens, the Infrared. This lens is special because of its high and bold contrast, as well as it being best for black and white photography
